Mr. Ramesh Narang
After his schooling from Air Force Bal Bharti (batch of 1983), graduation in 1986 from Delhi University, and MBA from the prestigious Delhi Institute of Management Studies (DIMS), he reinforced his perseverance with a Gemology course from IGI – Indian Gemological Institute, New Delhi, majoring in diamonds and coloured stones. Within a short period of joining the business, Mr Ramesh Narang firmly established himself at the heart of it swiftly mastering the ropes of the trade. A true visionary, he became one of the first few people to introduce Certified Diamond Solitaires and gold hallmarking in the country.
Three decades later, Ramesh’s foresight and passion towards his craft has catapulted Hazoorilal Legacy to great heights. Today, under his aegis, Hazoorilal Legacy is one of the most notable and respected brands with a marked domestic and international presence. A keen jewellery designer himself, his flair for sculpting and sketching has helped aid and evolve the standards of product and design. Hazoorilal Legacy designs have graced the Oscars and the BAFTA’s red carpet with leading Hollywood actors such as Julianne Moore, Regina King & Kelly Osbourne donning the jewellery designed by Ramesh himself. Closer home, his designs are championed by the likes of Kangana Ranaut, Tara Sutaria, Athiya Shetty, Raveen Tandon, Shilpa Shetty and many other celebrities.
Under Ramesh’s distinct leadership style, astute business acumen and an extraordinary eye for detail, Hazoorilal Legacy, has been rightly recognized and felicitated with numerous awards by the premium bodies of the Jewellery Industry. The All India Gems & Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF) awarded the Chairman’s Token to Mr. Ramesh Narang for his significant contribution to the gem and jewellery industry. The Retail Jeweller India Awards (RJIA), one of the most prestigious platforms that recognizes and honours excellence in design, has accorded the brand with numerous awards in significant categories such as the Gold Vivaah Jewellery of the Year, Heritage Jewellery of the Year, Editor’s Choice Heritage Jewellery, Colored Gemstone Vivaah Jewellery, Best Accessory & Diamond Ring of the Year to name a few. Hazoorilal Legacy’s flagship South Extension II store has also been singled out as India’s ‘Best Showroom’ by the esteemed jury of The Retail Jewellers Guild Awards. UBM India (a subsidiary of Informa Markets, Asia’s largest organiser of trade shows) has bestowed the brand with the tag of the Most Preferred Jeweller in Delhi for the year 2019. And these are just some of the many outstanding laurels under the supremacy of Ramesh!
Taking time out from his busy schedule, he makes sure to contribute his skills, knowledge and experience to various organizations for the overall growth of the jewellery industry. He previously held the prestigious position of Director – Educational Technical Committee of Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. He is also the founder member and past Regional Chairman of the Gems and Jewellery Federation. For him, it’s simply a way of doing his bit for the trade that gave him everything.
In his personal space, Mr. Ramesh Narang is happily married to Anjali, is a proud father of three children and a doting grandfather to Jahan. He is also passionate about travelling which he feels helps him absorb cultures, trends and styles enabling him to translate his experiences to jewellery design.
